We are pleased to announce that Entropie have been chosen to provide DHL with a complete cabling infrastructure solution for its new 25,000m² hub located in Coventry.

In September last year, DHL announced that it would be starting the construction of its new £230m hub in SEGRO Park, located south of Coventry airport within Warwick District. The new facility will have the capacity to handle well over 500k items per day and is expected to create over 600 new jobs for the area.

Construction is expected to be completed in summer 2024 and during this time Entropie will be fitting the new hub with a complete data cabling infrastructure scheme to accommodate all the warehouse, offices, and remote areas. This will include both a fibre optic backbone, category 6 structured copper and multiple containment systems throughout the facility.

The hub features state of the art mechanization to enable high speed and high-quality parcel handling. It has been designed to high environmental standards, incorporating features such as 7,000m² of solar panels, EV charging stations for cars and LGVs, LED lighting and landscaping to protect the natural biodiversity of the area.

Entropie, who specialises in telephony and data cabling installation, is very pleased to be working with DHL, and is committed to providing flexible, scalable, and future-proof infrastructure solutions to support DHL’s business communications.
