Overview
Harland Simon, a provider of essential power solutions and services, were in need of a more secure and unified IT system that was suitable for an SME company. They enlisted the help of Entropie Networks who upon assessing their server, found they were operating at below the minimum recommended Microsoft hardware requirements for the functions and tasks the server was being asked to perform.
Entropie Networks replaced the ageing hardware and Server 2003 operating system with a more up-to-date, Microsoft Small Business Server 2008 with Exchange 2007 solution. With the sales team constantly away from their desks, mobile communications were recommended to give them the ability to respond to customer’s emails and requests immediately. Ultimately, the increased functionality of an up-to-date system, offered Harland Simon greater productivity gains through staff being able to work more efficiently and more importantly, on the move.
