GEMS installation enables whiteboards alongside blackboards
Global Education Management Systems (GEMS) promises affordable, high-quality private schools to those unimpressed by the quality of state education and over-priced independents. The GEMS philosophy mirrors the mission of Entropie Voice and Data in providing quality products and service excellence to clients.
Entrepreneur Sunny Varkey owns 25 schools in the Middle East and is now seeking to emulate his success in the UK market. Entropie was recommended to GEMS by an independent consultant in early 2003 and was invited to install structured cabling and a small Samsung system at the GEMS Headquarters office building in London. GEMS requirements grew rapidly and the system was upgraded to an OfficeServ 500.
To date, GEMS has opened thirteen schools in the UK. To deliver the highest standards of education, the organisation believes in the use of the latest technology.
Not only has Entropie upgraded old systems acquired with the schools but the company has installed new data infrastructures to facilitate state-of-the-art internet access, whiteboard usage and computer suites.
Mike Harper, Bursar of Sherfield School was delighted with the installation and took time out to write to Entropie Sales Executive Bob Jeeves who oversees the GEMS account.
He wrote, “I would just like to say a huge thank you and well done for all of the hard work, professionalism, dedication and support that you and your engineers have given us over the past six months. You will be aware I felt that the data cabling and telephone infrastructure was crucial, not only to the current project but also to the future expansion of the school and I firmly believe that Entropie has delivered above and beyond what was expected of them.“
