As one of the key sponsors of the City Breakfast Club our last meeting of the year was a very special one as our guests were asked to donate a toy for the charity MK Act.
MK Act is a domestic violence intervention charity, which works with over 100 families' every day to help them move on from fear and abuse. They have been providing emergency accommodation in Milton Keynes for women and children escaping domestic violence for over 30 years.
The work that MK Act offers includes accommodation including follow up services, emergency refuge for desperate families, specialist support for children in the accommodation service and volunteer counselling service in the refuge.
Last year, the toy donation from the City Breakfast Club was so successful that MK Act were able to give toys out to young children and to mothers allowing them to give them to their children also on Christmas Day.
