Since completing the cabling infrastructure for UK Mail’s new ‘Super Hub’ and Head offices earlier this year Entropie were enlisted again to undertake two more cabling projects for newly acquired depots in Nottingham and Birmingham this summer.

In Birmingham, UK Mail took over a depot previously used by courier company City Link and although some cabling was in place, it was deemed that the warehouse infrastructure was not up to the standard so it was replaced with a complete new structured scheme which included provisions for wireless networking.

In Nottingham, UK Mail merged two buildings into one large depot and similarly to Birmingham, a complete new structured cabling scheme was installed in the warehouse and surrounding offices. This particular installation was phase one to enable UK Mail partly operational with phase two commencing towards the end of the year.

Due to the tight timescales and importance of both depot’s becoming operational in the shortest time possible, Entropie undertook the project and completed the work required on time and within budget.

UK Mail are one of the fasted growing express delivery companies in the UK and Entropie are committed to providing flexible and efficient infrastructure solutions to support their communications and business development over the foreseeable future.
